Shannon was not just excited about moving closer to home, she was also looking forward to her new job that was a step up from her last one. Instead of people and administrative specialist, Shannon was now an instructor and inspector. This new role gave her the ability to be a leader and she was very successful in her new position. The soldiers in her squad had a lot of respect for her and she was eventually promoted to the title of sergeant.
