[post_page_title]Comedian Phillip Henry called his performance ‘violence’[/post_page_title]
James Corden was cast to play an LGBT man in the 2020 musical comedy The Prom – a movie about LGBT rights. However, many people from the LGBT community found the straight actor’s performance downright offensive and “aggressively flamboyant.”
Comedian Phillip Henry tweeted about the decision to cast him in the movie – “The unrepentant violence that is James Corden doing a homophobic portrayal of a gay man in a musical about gay rights.” Many of the fans agreed with him, thinking someone like Titus Burgess would be a much better choice.
