Phyllis Davis was the original showgirl of the 1970s. Her career took off when she acted in Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.
She was quickly offered starring roles in the early 70s. She appeared on The Odd Couple and The Streets of San Francisco before becoming Beatrice Travis in the television series Vega$. The show ran for 69 episodes and ended in 1981.

Phyllis Davis passed away in 2013 at the age of 73 due to cancer.
For her whole life she remained a single, independent woman, but she did have two long term relationships – one with Dean Martin during the 70s and with a horse jockey named Laffit Pincay, Jr. in the 80s.
