In a now-controversial ad, Scarlett Johansson played a Soda Stream scientist who praised the delicious beverage in the company’s Super Bowl commercial.
The commercial was criticized due to the fact that, at the time, the factory was in the West Bank of Israel. Scarlett defended her role in the commercial, stating, “I’m coming into this as someone who sees that factory as a model for some sort of movement forward in a seemingly impossible situation.”
