For as long it existed, Star Trek has been one science-fiction franchise that’s more about the characters than about the special effects. And perhaps no other show was a better representation of that idea than Babylon 5.
Running for precisely its ended five seasons, the show introduced us to the many aliens living and working on the eponymous space station, and it was awesome. But then we got a look outside… The show ended in 1998 and had a relatively low budget, but even Babylon 5 itself looked like something out of a Windows 95 game.
