I Am Legend has been a classic horror fiction work since its release in 1954. Unfortunately, not a single one of the book’s whopping four adaptations got it right. The latest, released in 2007 and starring Will Smith, reimagined the vampire-like creatures of the book as zombies, which were (and still are) pretty popular at the time.
Changing their appearance this way was meant to preserve something human in their look, making them even more terrifying, but… We mean, look at them. They look like Gollum if he’d been floating in a river for three days.
