The comedy actor met Laura Diebel when he was doing his Bachelor’s degree in television and radio production at Western Michigan University.
Allen married Diebel in 1984 at a tricky time in his life when he was selling illegal substances despite his personal and professional success.

The couple did not stand the test of time and in 1999 they separated after they had one daughter together. His rocky life was filled with ups and downs.
In 1997 he had another bump when he was charged with driving under the influence but was doing great on his series, Home Improvement and on the Toy Story movie.
