A big factor in Marie’s life was her pastor, Kevin Matthews. He was the leader of his community in Shallotte, North Carolina, and he was a huge and positive influence in Marie’s life.
Matthews provides spiritual guidance to his flock and had a very special relationship with Marie. He helped Marie through all of the twists and turns of her life, and it was to him she went to whenever things went wrong. She knew she could always count on him.
