You might be wondering how the world ever found out about a seemingly trivial neighborhood spat in London. The answer, in two words, is Rachel Thompson. Rachel is the senior culture reporter for the Mashable website, but more pertinently, she happens to live on Dalyell Road.
That gave her a front row seat to the festivities, which she then shared with her 7,000 Twitter followers. Of course, once she did, the story had a life of its own, and her original post got 2,100 retweets – one of them from James Corden – and more than 16,000 likes.
