It was Selena’s big moment, as they called her name she prepared to receive her hard-earned diploma. However, the president of Florida Atlantic University John Kelly stopped the ceremony and announced: “We have a big surprise.” Just then, her husband appeared on stage, uniform and all, and proudly hugged his astonished newly graduated wife. After Selena tearfully embraced her husband in a state of shock, she was given her diploma. She said, “I’ll always remember this moment.”
