Although people were still standing in the water next to the manatees, they were not close enough to intrude on their business. The crowd were respectful of the space that they were giving the animals and knew they shouldn’t touch them. After all, the people of Florida have been taught for many years about the ‘manatee manners’ that they are supposed to adopt whenever they come into contact with one of the impressive sea creatures. They had those rules in their minds the whole time.
