[post_page_title]University of New Orleans | 38.23% decrease[/post_page_title]
The University of New Orleans, sitting pretty in New Orleans, Louisiana (obviously), has experienced a serious drop in applications over the last few years – 38.23%. UNO is a public university which makes it even more surprising that applications were to drop so significantly, as tuition costs are not an issue. The reason for the drop is said to have been the terrible damage the city of New Orleans received due to Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The university sustained a lot of damage as a result of the storm.
