Richard Schiff portrays the kind-hearted Aaron Glassman, president of the hospital and friend of its founder, Jessica Preston’s grandfather. He met Shaun when the boy was 14 and helped him deal with his abusive environment, becoming his mentor and upon his graduation fought fiercely for the boy’s right to work at the hospital, claiming not only Murphy will benefit from being employed, but that “if we hire Shaun, we give hope to those people with limitations that they do have a shot.”
