Have you ever wondered what the world was like when it was in a hot, dense state? Or what about when the expansion started 14 billion years ago? Or perhaps when the earth began to cool, the autotrophs began to drool, Neanderthals developed tools, and some of the greatest human structures were built? Well, The Big Bang Theory has the answers you’re looking for.
This popular American sitcom debuted onto our screens in September 2007, and has since gone on to score an impressive 82% score on Rotten Tomatoes – kind of a big deal, especially after a whopping 11 seasons! With its epic cast of characters, its titular theme tune, its slapdash and intelligent humor, and its largely approachable storylines, The Big Bang Theory has taken the world by storm. Yet, it’s the relationships between the characters that really makes this show so heartwarmingly relatable. But have you ever wondered about the cast’s real-life forays into the world of dating?

With nearly 250 episodes to its name, The Big Bang Theory has kept their fans on tenterhooks, waiting for new developments to appear in their lives, thanks in no small part to the legendary creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. While we enjoy watching this nerdy group of scientists (and Penny) go about their awkward, embarrassing endearing daily lives – nothing comes close to seeing these geeks find love. We can’t get enough of Leonard’s surprisingly long list of former paramours, Raj battling his inability to speak in the presence of a woman, and the extremely loud and incredibly close marriage of Howard Wolowitz and Bernadette Rostenkowski – made all the more hilarious thanks to Howard’s very hands-on mother.
Yet, it’s Sheldon and Leonard’s relationships to their eventual life partners that really pique our interest. As a former child genius and even more intelligent adult human, Sheldon Cooper isn’t the kind of person you would expect to be in love… or even understand that love is more than a few chemicals in your brain. Amazingly, he pushes past his pragmatic mind and finds love with neuroscientist Amy Farrah Fowler. As we already mentioned, Leonard’s road to love is somewhat more circuitous. Despite meeting and immediately falling for his luminous nextdoor neighbor Penny, their road to love and on-and-off relationship kept us on the edge of our seats for years.
Although it’s difficult to imagine our favorite Big Bang Theory cast members living outside of the apartment block and science labs, the actors and actresses behind these characters have shown us that though it may not be mathematically likely, occasionally love does come along. Keep reading to see the lucky men and women who have romanced these stars along the years.
[post_page_title]Johnny Galecki & Sara Gilbert – together in 1992[/post_page_title]
Although we all know him as the socially awkward physicist in The Big Bang Theory, it’s fair to say that Johnny Galecki has a lot of game in the real world! In fact, he’s had a pretty lengthy list of girlfriends over the course of his lifetime – including actress Sara Gilbert. While the pair did appear on The Big Bang Theory together, the pair actually met in the early ‘90s on the set of Roseanne. They dated for a while, before Sara realized that she preferred women, and remained friends after the broke up.
