This is a photo from the early 90s that hordes of NBA fans will never forget. It is of Laker legend Magic Johnson, who released a statement to the public that he had contracted a well known illness that would ultimately force him to retire from playing basketball professionally. People had already fallen in love with Magic, and it wasn’t just because he won five championships in the 80s. It was his happy and positive spirit, and his contagious smile that we still get to enjoy today.
