In the 1963 film, Lord of the Flies, and the book adaptation, Jack, the older of the boys, was a villain in a different way.
Jack broke the group of boys into two and let his obsessions get the better of him, so much so that his behavior lead to the death of two castaways.

Tom Chapin, in his only acting role, played the role with an understated insanity that only he could have.
There is little known about Tom after his stint as Jack, however, his depiction of Jack was thought to have been very deep and profound, giving justice to the book.
