Since we were kids, one of the scariest memories we have is going to the school’s nurse to get injections. It’s never a fun trip to the nurse’s office, not as children and certainly not as adults. In 1899, Letitia Mumford Geer invented and later also patented the medical syringe that could be operated by medical professionals by using one hand only. As if injections aren’t bad enough.
