Jake Gyllenhaal and the late great Heath Ledger became very good friends after they costarred in the film, Brokeback Mountain. The two friends were so close that when Heath and girlfriend, Michelle Williams, welcomed their daughter, Matilda, together, they asked Jake to be her godfather. Since Heath’s tragic and untimely death in 2008, Jake has taken his godfather duties very seriously and has remained very close both to Matilda, as well as to Michelle.
