Whenever you see someone walking around in a Mickey costume, you might not think about the fact that there’s a real person underneath the mask.
Even if you remember it’s just someone in a costume, it’s still a shock to see them take off their head and reveal the actor underneath. The character goes from being happy and animated to a shell of themselves, and it really puts a damper on a visitor’s experience. There’s a reason the actors aren’t allowed out of costume when they’re in the park.
