Linda Davidson was definitely the show’s wild child who has been a part of the cast from the very first year for three years until 1988. Punk Mary’s character was unpredictable and she was mostly known to be very stubborn. One of the most remembered storylines that she was part of her character’s dalliance with prostitution related to single mothers. Those scenes earned the show some very negative press, but we say there really isn’t any bad press when it comes to publicity. She left the show when she wanted to pursue other acting projects.
