The Simpsons is the kind of show that you just can’t take seriously. You know that everything is for the sake of a joke, and you know that it’s all meant to be lighthearted. However, it seems as though this show often pushes past the line of funniness and makes its way into the realm of offensiveness.
During the “Blame It On Lisa” episode, many fans felt as though the people of Brazil were shown in a rude and derogatory light. In fact, the tourist board of Rio De Janeiro even tried to sue Fox over this representation.
