With her music career thriving, Rihanna decided to explore other avenues. She signed on for the sci-fi action film “Battleship” in 2012, her first major foray into acting.
The movie featured several big name actors, including Liam Neeson and Alexander Skarsgård, but no amount of star power could turn “Battleship” into a success. It received fairly average reviews, with the comments about Rihanna’s performance leaving a lot to be desired. This was the first time she’d really slipped up in her career, but RiRi wasn’t going to let her mistake define her.
