According to the tale, Noah and his family were the only survivors of the flood, apart from the animals. So in that sense, we would all be related to Noah as no other humans survived, barring those on that boat.
Scientists argue that should this be the case, we would be able to track our DNA genealogy back to the family that was tasked with repopulating the planet. Since they cannot, they do not believe the story is true. Another explanation offered, is that more than one family survived the flood thanks to Noah’s ark, and perhaps many.
