We established that Mesopotamia had developed several great flood stories, but the oldest and best known is the tale of King Ziusudra. Otherwise known as the Sumerian Flood Story, the tale involves Ziusudra building a boat trying to rescue as many people as possible after the gods decided to destroy the world.
Known as the Sumerian Flood Story because it was inscribed in the city of Nippur in 1600 BCE, in the ancient country known as Sumer.
