Despite the fact that Diana, Charles, and their siblings were not descended from royalty, their family did have a huge amount of money to their name. Because of this, Charles spent much of his early life attending the most prestigious schools and receiving the best education money could buy. He eventually took a place at Oxford University where he began his career as an academic, a journalist, and a broadcaster. He has since spent much of his life writing for newspapers and even writing his own books.
