Actor Harry Connick Jr. was in trouble back in 1992 when he tried to board a flight out of JFK Airport in New York with a semi-automatic pistol on him. Whether he realized it or not it is illegal to carry a gun on a plane unless you are law enforcement. Connick received a misdemeanor charge for possession of a firearm, which is the lighter sentence as the gun was not loaded.
