There are two kinds of people in this world; those who like vegetables, and those who do not. Of course, trying to stay fit and healthy is difficult when you don’t like veggies. While you can plow your body with fruits, protein, and all of the good stuff, it’s just not quite the same. So, how do you add vegetables to your diet when you hate the taste and you just can’t stand the thought of them? These are the vegetables you can try even if you’re not a fan of vegetables.
Kale
While Kale may not look like the most appetizing vegetable to ever grace (or disgrace) this earth, it’s the kind of gateway veggie that every vegetable-hater needs in their lives. That’s because kale can become the perfect accompaniment to any smoothie. Yes, you can get your fill of fruit by placing all of your favorite berries, bananas, apple, and more into a blender, before adding a handful of kale. The sweetness of the fruit will mask the taste, and you won’t even know it’s there.
Zucchini
Sure, it may look like a weird cucumber, but zucchinis can actually be pretty tasty if you know how to prepare them. While you can simply chop this vegetable up and boil or roast it, making zucchini noodles is the best way to add a little fun into the mix. Instead of opting for egg noodles or spaghetti, you can use a spiralizer to turn your vegetable into zucchini noodles. All you need to do is add the meat and the sauce on top of these noodles, and you’ll barely notice the difference.
Potatoes
Potatoes may be full of carbs, but they’re also a vegetable and a tasty one at that. The best thing about potatoes is that you can do so much with them. You can boil them, you can roast them, you can mash them, and you can even fry them – although, we’d suggest an air fryer. There are also so many different variations of potatoes, and all of them taste different. You might be a white potato fan, or you might be a sweet potato fan. The choice is yours.
Asparagus
You might not be a fan of vegetables because you’re a huge fan of meat. Eating a plate of green veggies just isn’t the same as looking at a rack of ribs, right? But what if we told you that you could mix the two together? Asparagus is full of healthy nutrients that are ultimately vital for a healthy body, but you can jazz it up a little. Asparagus tastes even better when you wrap it in ham and bacon, and it looks good too. It may not be quite as healthy as it once was, but it’s a great way to eat vegetables if you hate them.
Do you hate vegetables? Well, give these ones a try and see if you still feel the same way… They might not be as bad as you once thought!
