Thanks to this kind act done by Ava and Leah, in addition to the whole family’s efforts, they managed to find a donor that could give a bone marrow donation to their father – in a rather unexpected place. It turned out that the twins’ uncle, who took the test, was a match for Kevin, which meant he was able to donate stem cells to his brother and possibly save his life. This also meant Kevin would actually have his brother’s DNA, his immune system, and his blood type. And while the procedure wasn’t a simple one and required some recovery time for Kevin, he was able to spend his 40th birthday at home with his loved ones.
