The toys often warn that it might take a few days for the water to expand them to a larger size, so iguanamouth knew that the waiting game would have to be played. Amazingly, after just nine hours there were signs that something was happening inside iguanamouth’s glass. This was an exciting development, and it seems as though if anything, being past the expiration date just accelerated the effect the water had on the expandable toy.
