Jennifer Lopez’s exes – where they are now and who they’re dating

Love don’t cost a thing, but for the last few decades, it’s cost actress and singer Jennifer Lopez a pretty penny. The star has been through the wringer when it comes to love, with the megastar having walked down the aisle three times already. That doesn’t include the engagement she had with Ben Affleck, or the one she entered into recently with MLB star Alex Rodriguez. Clearly, Lopez is a huge fan of love, and she’s not going to give up until she has her happily ever after.

The question is, what have all of Jennifer’s exes been doing since they parted ways with Jenny from the block? For some of them, it’s been over 20 years since they were romantically involved with the singer – and their lives have changed dramatically in that time. They’ve made new friends, started different careers, and, some have even fallen in love with other people. Being with J-Lo put most of them on the map, and many been working hard to keep themselves relevant ever since the split.

Back in the ‘90s, Lopez was just another aspiring star hoping to get her big break. She had a passion for both acting and singing, and she was hopeful that both would bring her the success she was after.

It’s hard enough to make it in just one of those industries, so dominating both was nearly impossible. However, J-Lo was determined to prove everyone wrong, and by the turn of the century, she already had the world screaming her name.

Back when Jennifer was still trying to make a name for herself, she was turning the head of Ojani Noa. At the time, the man was just a waiter biding his time while he tried to build a career for himself. Their relationship came at a time of great prominence for Lopez because it was the same year she starred in the biopic Selena. The film received amazing reviews, and it led to the budding actress landing a Golden Globe nomination.

Things were looking great for J-Lo, and they improved even further when Noa got down on one knee and popped the question. She said “yes,” and the two married reasonably quickly. Sadly, that proved to be their undoing. It wasn’t long before they realized their relationship wasn’t meant to be, and the pair filed for divorce less than a year after tying the knot. J-Lo might have wanted to move past her relationship with Noa, but that was easier said than done. Some time after their separation, Ojani returned and tried to make money off of their marriage. The former waiter had written a book, and the details it contained were not to Lopez’s liking. It seems the pair had previously signed a confidentiality agreement preventing them from discussing the intimates of their time together.

The book violated this, forcing J-Lo to take her ex-husband to court. Rather than letting Lopez get the best of him, though, Noa instead decided to try a different tactic. A few years later, he returned once again, this time with a private tape from their honeymoon that he wanted to publish. It seems Ojani’s other endeavors weren’t bringing in as much money as he wanted, so he must have figured selling out his ex-wife would help boost his paycheck.

Although he’s tried to continually use his former relationship with Lopez for financial gain, Noa hasn’t been as obsessed with his ex as it might seem. In fact, the man moved on relatively quickly after his divorce, turning his attention to another actress: Claudia Vasquez. Considering that J-Lo’s career was apparently one of the reasons the pair got divorced, you would think that Noa would want to avoid dating someone else with such big ambitions.

However, he and Vasquez proved to be far more suited to one another than the former waiter was with Lopez. Their relationship lasted for ten years, although that too came to an end in 2011. Since then, little has been known about the man’s dating life. However, he did unsuccessfully appear on reality series Millionaire Matchmaker. He was hopeful he’d find love on the program, but no connection ever really formed.

While his obsession with J-Lo might be holding him back, it seems that Ojani has still made a lot out of his life since his divorce. The Cuban star is no longer waiting on tables to bring in some money, with his Instagram account describing him as an actor, model, and writer, among other things. Judging from his social media, it’s clear that the man is interested in his fitness, so it’s no wonder that he also lists himself as a personal trainer.

It appears to be Noa’s primary source of income right now, especially after getting certified by the American Sports & Fitness Association in November 2018. Considering that Noa was still trying to make a name for himself when he met Lopez, he’s done well to build a career over the last two decades. Let’s just hope he drops all the stuff with his ex-wife now, though.

Following her split from Noa, J-Lo was determined to find love again. She refused to let her divorce shape the way she viewed relationships, which is why she soon launched into a fling with Sean Combs – better known to people as P. Diddy or Puff Daddy.

The rapper and producer came into Lopez’s life while she was working on her debut album. Unfortunately, things went south after the pair were arrested due to their connection with a shooting. Although Jennifer was exonerated for having no involvement, Combs wasn’t so lucky.

Fortunately for the rapper, his involvement with the police didn’t have any influence on his career. The next few albums he released after the incident peaked within the top two on the Billboard 200, with several of his songs becoming top ten hits over the next decade.

Combs continues to work on new music, although it doesn’t attract the same attention it used to. Thankfully, his involvement with various business ventures, including a clothing line and several restaurants, ensures that this man is always in the money.

Combs might not have been with J-Lo for long, but his relationship with Cassie Ventura was a different story. The pair got together in 2006, and they were in each other’s lives for more than a decade. Ventura was signed to her boyfriend’s record label with Combs helping to produce most of her music.

The two only recently went their separate ways, with their relationship reaching its end in late 2018. Given the pair split several times over the years, there’s every chance they could reconnect in the future.

Before Combs had even met Cassie Ventura, J-Lo had already been through her second marriage and divorce. She met Cris Judd shortly after her split from the rapper, and their love was pretty instantaneous.

The chemistry between them sparked after they filmed the video for Lopez’s song Love Don’t Cost A Thing, and soon enough they were walking down the aisle. Their wedding was a magnificent affair, and the media did their best to get involved with it. After all, the singer’s popularity was through the roof by this point.

Unfortunately, despite how passionate their relationship might have been, it wasn’t enough to keep the pair going for long. J-Lo once again failed to keep her husband for more than a year, and the two ended up separating in 2002.

Judd continued to dance, although his newfound popularity also helped him score plenty of reality TV roles. Over the years he’s appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and he even won the first season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.

Luckily for Judd, being with Lopez didn’t put the dancer off of getting married forever. Several years after his divorce was finalized, he fell in love with Kelly A. Wolfe. They ended up tying the knot in 2009, and ten years later, the pair still seem to be going strong.

Judd hasn’t had to worry about the pressure of fame with his new wife, which is perhaps why they’ve managed to make things work for so long. The pair even welcomed their first child in 2013 – a daughter named Vivienne.

Only a few years into the 21st century, and already J-Lo had been through several failed marriages. By the time she met Ben Affleck, she was probably hoping that things would finally turn in her favor.

Although the star was slightly nervous about falling for the actor given the heartbreak she’d had already, the media were obsessed with the pairing. They were two of the biggest stars around at the time, and the prospect of them getting married was incredibly exciting. That’s how they landed the nickname Bennifer.

For a brief period, it looked like J-Lo had finally found the one. However, right before she was set to get married for the third time, disaster struck. The ceremony was delayed and ultimately canceled, with the pair going their separate ways come 2004.

People were distraught by the separation, but it didn’t hurt either side’s careers. After the split, Affleck went on to star in thrillers Gone Girl and Argo, as well as playing Batman in several superhero movies. He didn’t need Lopez in his life to be a success.

Both J-Lo and Affleck were quick to move on after their engagement fell through, with the latter seeking comfort in Jennifer Garner. The two started dating in the summer of 2004, and they were married a year later.

It might have seemed like Affleck was moving quickly, especially given what had happened with him and Lopez, but for a while, it looked like he and Garner were made for each other. Their marriage lasted a good ten years, but they sadly announced that they were separating in 2015.

Being such a high profile actor, it was inevitable that people would turn their attention to Affleck after he split from Garner. There were plenty of women that wanted to be with him, but it was Lindsay Shookus who caught his eye.

The TV producer was famous for her work on Saturday Night Live, and she entered into a relationship with Affleck two years after his split. They were only dating for a year before calling it quits, although reports in March 2019 suggested the duo were officially back together.

While Affleck was getting acquainted with Jennifer Garner, Lopez was cozying up to her pal Marc Anthony. The pair had been friends for a while, but it seems J-Lo saw something more in the producer after this latest split.

She leaned on Anthony for support, and a romance soon blossomed between the two. By the summer of 2004, they had already tied the knot in what was Lopez’s fastest engagement so far. Given her history, this didn’t spell great things for the relationship. However, people’s doubts were quickly put to rest.

Although Lopez and Anthony did end up getting divorced, they enjoyed seven years of wedded bliss together. This included Jennifer becoming a mother for the first time when she welcomed her twins into the world in 2008.

The arrival of the children made it even harder to bear when the couple announced they were separating, but they were both accustomed to divorce by this point. Lopez had done it twice before, while Anthony had only just left his first marriage when he and J-Lo fell in love.

When he split with Jennifer, Marc Anthony continued living his life as though nothing had really changed. He kept up with his work at Sony Records, and even released a new album. It was a commercial success, peaking at five on the Billboard 200 and shifting around 500,000 copies.

The producer also managed to find love after separating from Lopez, with Anthony marrying his third wife the same year his divorce was finalized. He tied the knot with Shannon de Lima in 2014. Sadly, their relationship wasn’t made to last.

Two years after falling the model, their marriage fell apart. It seems that third time wasn’t the charm for this producer, and he was soon back to living the single life. Well, at least for a little while.

Since splitting from his latest wife, Anthony has been spotted dating several women, most noticeably Mariana Downing. The pair were first seen together in 2017, and later noticed at a basketball game in 2018. Anthony has been quiet about his love life recently, so it’s uncertain if these two are still an item.

Fresh out of her marriage – her longest one to date – J-Lo wasn’t interested in getting serious again too soon. However, that didn’t mean she opposed the idea of dating someone. That’s how Casper Smart entered the equation.

Another backing dancer that caught the singer’s eye, he and Lopez enjoyed several years together as an on-off couple. Smart was a fair bit younger than J-Lo’s ex-husband, but she didn’t have a problem with that. She wasn’t particularly bothered about age, especially as she wasn’t in the mood for something serious.

Just as with several of her other partners, Smart’s career really took off after he got involved with J-Lo. His newfound fame has helped him to land gigs with several other prominent artists, including rapper Nicki Minaj.

Smart appeared in her video for The Night Is Still Young, and things have only been getting better for him since then. He now acts as a judge on the Spanish-language series MQB, a reality competition that tasks celebrities with learning how to dance. It’s basically another version of Dancing with the Stars.

Following his prominent relationship with J-Lo, Smart has had plenty of opportunities to start dating again. Although he doesn’t talk much about his romantic life, the dancer was allegedly involved with Paige Hathaway back in 2017.

The pair gave off the impression they were romantically linked after appearing in an Instagram post together, although neither came clean about a relationship. Smart has been spotted more recently with another model, although again their relationship is unknown. All that’s really known about the woman right now is that her name is Coco.

Of course, Lopez isn’t concerning herself with what Smart is up to. After all, she’s got her hands full with her own relationship. For the last few years, she’s been involved with MLB legend Alex Rodriguez, and it seems J-Lo is hoping this man is ‘the one.’

That’s why she said yes when he proposed to her earlier this year. The sports star popped the question back in March, and we expect they’ll be tying the knot reasonably soon. Lopez hasn’t been one to wait around to get married.

Whether this next marriage will be the one that lasts is yet to be seen. Things aren’t looking too hopeful, what with reports emerging that Rodriguez has already been unfaithful to his fiancée. However, Lopez is apparently staying firmly by her partner’s side.

Plus, she trusts him when he says he’s done nothing wrong. We hope she’s right to believe in Rodriguez, but only time will tell. Given everything she’s been through with love, isn’t about time that J-Lo finally had a marriage that didn’t end in divorce?

Perhaps the most adorable part about J Lo and A Rod’s love story is that technically it goes back about 12 years before they even started dating.That’s right, and there’s even photographical evidence of their first meeting.

Here Jennifer is shaking Alex’s hand at one of his baseball games – she was there with her then husband, Anthony. Then, 12 years later they bumped into each other while out to lunch and the rest is history. Both have claimed they’re glad it took time because neither believe they were meant to be together back then.

While Alex Rodriguez is all about Jennifer Lopez right now, he has definitely garnered a reputation and has a past of dating lovely leading ladies over the years.

Aside from his wife of six years and mother of his two children, Cynthia Scurtis, and his current fiance, A Rod has dated some pretty famous women. His list includes Kate Hudson, Madonna, Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore, and Torrie Wilson. Thankfully, he seems really committed to Jennifer and this will likely be his final relationship.

Aside from her engagements and marriages, J Lo has also had a few flings in her day – not unlike her brief romance with Casper Smart. One of these said flings was with rapper Drake for a few months at the end of 2016 and beginning of 2017.

The two were spotting out and about hot and heavy during their short time together. Sources claimed both that they were really serious, and that they were just having fun. Either way, the two ended up going their separate ways.

While everyone always wants to know about Drake’s love life, it would appear that he is rather private about this and has not had too many serious, long lasting relationships. That does not mean he hasn’t had a date or two with some famous ladies.

The rapper has allegedly been out with the likes of Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and Tyra Banks. Other than that, most of his relationships were just rumors. Except of course with his baby mama, Sophie Brussaux and his alleged relationship with an 18-year-old model, Bella Harris.

One of J Lo’s biggest rumored relationships was with Dancing with the Star’s Ukranian hunk, Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The dancer became the talk of the town once rumors sparked and started flying around that he was involved with the pop star.

The two had undeniable chemistry during their performance together when he was one of her backup dancers. This relationship was never confirmed, but obviously DWTS fans hope that it is indeed true. Maksim has since moved on in a big way from his rumored love with Lopez, though.

Maksim may have gotten people talking when they thought he was dating J Lo, but he has since moved on to a much more significant – not to mention real – relationship with someone else.

In 2012, the DWTS veteran began dating fellow dancer Peta Murgatroyd, but they ended things after ten months. Then, in 2014, they were reunited, and became engaged in late 2015. By January 2017, their son was born. The lovebirds were eventually married in July, 2017.

Perhaps one of J Lo’s most scandalous flings was with Mariah Carey’s ex husband, music executive Tommy Mottola. While this relationship was never actually confirmed, it is one of the biggest speculated reasons for why Lopez and Carey do not get along.

J Lo and Mottola were linked in 1998, shortly after his split with Mariah, but the alleged fling was short lived. It seems like Mariah believed there was something there, because her feud with Jennifer is proof of some animosity.

Jennifer Lopez was a real up and comer in the industry back in 1995 and if Wesley Snipes knew how big of a star she would become, maybe he would have tried even harder to make something happen with her. That’s right, Snipes wanted desperately to be with Lopez when they were co-stars in Money Train.

J Lo went along with the flirting because she just assumed that’s what co-stars did, but eventually shut Wesley down for good when he tried to kiss him – she was just not that into him.
