There are so many great inventions throughout human history that have made an impact on all of us. Some inventions have purely been to improve convenience in our way of life, but some have truly and irrevocably changed the world. When we look back through time, we will be able to point to a handful of inventions that really changed things for everyone, and touched all corners of the Earth.
So, we feel it’s important to look at some of the most remarkable and essential inventions throughout history. There is no doubt that our world would not be the world it is today had it not been for these stunning inventions. Many of these stunning inventions don’t have just one invented and have sometimes evolved over the years. Here are some of the most important inventions, that have changed life on Earth as we know it.

The wheel

Probably the single greatest invention in the history of the world has got to be the wheel. This has made everything so much easier, from travel to the transportation of objects and goods. It’s fair to say we have no idea where we would be these days if we didn’t have the wheel. The earliest known wheel is thought to date back to Mesopotamia in 3500 BC. There is no civilization, Empire, or society since that time that has not directly benefited from the invention of the wheel.

Railways

In fact, the wheel directly influenced another of the most important inventions in history – the railway. Now, we debated whether to include the automobile instead, but decided that the railway was perhaps more of a game changer at the time. It took the basics of automobiles, with the creation of trains as vehicles, but there was also the complexities of the railway network. This allowed people to travel great distances in short spaces of time, they didn’t have to drive, and trading with new areas became possible as a result too.

Airplane

Can you imagine what life would be like today if we didn’t have the airplane? Travel across the world would be much more difficult, and we wouldn’t be able to see half the places we have seen. Transportation and travel were made so much quicker by the Wright Brothers and their airplane. This has changed the world beyond measure, and airplanes are now ubiquitous all across the globe.

The iPhone

Sure, we could have just put down the telephone, or the cellular phone, but the iPhone deserves recognition in its own right. This is the cell phone that was truly the game changer, and we all use smartphones these days thanks largely to Apple. In 2007, the launch of the iPhone was one that could have gone either way – it went on to make phones an integral part of daily human life, and we can’t imagine a time without them.

The iPhone

These are a selection of some of the best and most important inventions in the world. They have directly influenced the future and the way we live our lives. In fact, without any of these things, it’s fair to say that the world would be an entirely different place.
