Katie didn’t know what to say. She was overwhelmed that someone would do such a thing for her, let alone a man who clearly didn’t have a home or any food of his own. Although she didn’t have the money to pay him back straight away, she soon sought him out soon after to thank him and repay his generous favor. As she learned more and more about him, they became close. She would often return to his spot on the street with food and water, to make sure that he was as comfortable as possible.
