The New York Jets beat the Baltimore Colts 16-7 in the first title game to officially be called the “Super Bowl.” The Jets were the underdogs coming into the game. In fact, the Colts were 18-point favorites. But sometime that’s all you need, to be seen as the underdog who has to overcome it all. Namath and the Jets did, which makes their victory in Super Bowl III even better.
