He was once a teenage heartthrob who got his big break on, well, Gimme a Break! where he landed the role of Joey Donovan on the NBC’s sitcom. He was on the show from 1983 to 1987. He later went on and hit the stage with his theatrical debut os Summer Rental.

Joey’s career in acting didn’t stop after the 80’s and he co starred in Blossom, the hit TV series from 1991 to 1995, playing Joey Russo. He also hit the big screen in different movies including Urban Legends: Final Cut. In 2006 the hunky actor appeared on Dancing with the Stars where he won third place. Lawrence met his second wife while on vacation in Disney World and the couple have two daughters.
