The former child star is mostly remembered from when she played the role of the middle child, Carol Seaver on Growing Pains, but before her big career on the small screen, Gold had a couple of short-lived appearances on different television series. In 1982 she was part of the cast of Shoot the Moon where she co starred alongside Albert Finney and Diane Keaton.

Gold has faced quite a few bumps in terms of her personal life including a battle with anorexia and being arrested for DUI. The actress married Roby Marshall in 1994 and they have four children together.
