Soleil Moon Frye landed the role of Punky Brewster at seven years old after she auditioned against 3,000 other hopeful young girls who wished to win the role of NBC’s show at the time. The California born was extremely popular among the younger generation, who probably didn’t notice how the show was struggling in the ratings.

When the show stopped filming and was terminated in 1988, the young actress wanted to stay in the industry and so she made different appearances as a guest star throughout the next two decades. She appeared on The Wonder Years, Friends and Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. The actress is married to Jason Goldberg and the two have four children together. She has her own web series and multiple private businesses.
