Who can forget the very famous and incredibly sexy Princess Leia from the Star Wars trilogy between 1977 and 1983, and later on the 2015 sequel Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Although she had a few appearances in different cult films such as on The Blues Brothers, and on Woody Allen’s Hannah and Her Sisters, Fisher was always mostly recognized for her Star Wars epic role.

In later years, Fisher turned to writing as well and published her fist semi autobiography, Postcards from the Edge which was later turned into a movie. The book dealt with personal issues such as her infamous relationship with her mother and a drug addiction. Fisher continued to act in films including The Burbs, Scream 3, The Women and is bound to play in the new Star War movie, Star Wars: Episode VIII in 2017.
