No one can ever get enough of the Gilmore Girls and we can certainly understand why.

The make out as one of the greatest duos in tv history because they’re a tried and true of longtime friends taking their feelings to their next level. Let’s just hope the chemistry is still there, especially with the 2016 reboot that recently aired.

They always had fun, they didn’t what made them happy, and refused to let anyone boss them around – including Eddie’s overly-responsible daughter, Saffy.

The satire is just another one of the classics from the Simon Pegg – Nick Frost duo, who saw success with Shaun of the Dead a few years earlier. They make the list of greatest duos because of their versatility. Is there any role they can’t execute perfectly? Apparently not.

Watching Arya become a hostage of one of the men on her “hit list” was anticipating and at time, fairly suspenseful. Along the way, we saw their hatred for one another lessen with experience and time, but not enough for Arya to stick around when The Hound was brutally beaten by Brianne of Tarth and left to die.

Not only was the concept of dangerous love a major factor in the duo’s success, the idea that a woman could be the one to make drag the man down the rabbit hole of crime was a refreshing change from the usual bad boy, good girl movies released at the time. Bonnie and Clyde went down together, giving ride or die a meaning before the expression was even coined.

These two men (if you can call Chewie a man), were each other’s confidantes and entered every battle watching each other’s backs. There is no Han without Chewie. And now, unfortunately, we’ll get to find out what life is like for Chewbacca without Han.

They got the job done, they intimidated their victims, and Vincent Vega definitely knew how to bust a move on the dance floor. Their methods, however, were a bit unconventional and often enough, they were loose on the trigger. In the end, they had thought-provoking conversations and seemed to be well-informed when it came to cultural affairs. This makes them the nest hitmen duo we’ve ever seen.

One of these classic characters doesn’t exist without the other, just like their matching suits. Carrey and Daniels managed to revolutionize the concept of “stupid humor,” which ultimately, spread like wild fire and inspired films like Anchorman and Stuck On You.

They’re ultimate televised pair because they’re extremely hilarious. Not to mention, they’re the\u00a0definition of the concept “meant for each other.”

These two dudes never faltered, not even for a second. They had their casual tiffs and sure, they disagreed here and there. But, their friendship never changed or was permanently altered because of an argument or a failed attempt at romance (looking at you, Rachel and Ross). They were also the funniest pair on the show when they teamed up; they were like the adult version of Cory and Shawn from Boy Meets World. More on them later.

In real life, their friendship was just as tight and the death of Paul Walker impacted Vin Diesel greatly. Their criminal pairing made the Fast franchise what it was, and of course, the romance between Mia and Brian will be forever missed. Without Brian beside Dom’s side, there’s definitely something missing from the cast.

During the series finale of Will & Grace, their musical duet reminded audiences of their deep love for another; both on-screen and off-screen.

Captain Kirk and his Commander make the ideal, sci-fi pairing not just because of their common desire to protect the universe, but because of the valuable lessons each learns from one another. Mr. Spock, who notoriously struggles with his mixed genetics, learns how to identify emotions and when it is appropriate to tap into them and in return, Captain Kirk learns how to apply logic where it is necessary.

\nCory Matthews and Shawn Hunter of Boys Meets World were able to do something most childhood friends struggle with; they were able to remain best buddies into their adult years. This kind of character chemistry doesn’t just prove their devotion to one another, it seals their fate as soulmates without the romantic stigma attached to it. 90’s kids watched Cory and Shawn battle each and every one of life’s curveballs thrown at them, whether it was heartbreak, family deaths, cult abductions, or money problems. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if Topanga or Shawn was really the love of Cory’s life.

Woody and Buzz transcend the typical children’s film genre and cross into adult territory because of their partnership. That’s makes them a great duo to us.

Thelma and Louise, played by Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis, kill a man after he assaults them in a parking lot and robbed a few convenient stores after they’re mugged on the road. The film is held at the Library of Congress and was nominated for 6 Academy Awards, not surprisingly. The friendship between Sarandon and Davis’ characters is enough to make you want to find your own criminal counterpart.

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones conquered the galaxy (and our hearts) when they starred in the first installment of the Men in Black franchise. Agent K and Agent J made the nueralizer famous, delivered baby aliens on the highway, and eventually time jumped to stop an evil alien species from taking over the planet. These guys deserve a greatest movie duo ever title, if you’re asking us.

\nWhere would the world of crime-solving be if it weren’t for Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson? Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman is the perfect pair to bring the Arthur Conan Doyle novels to life, as they’re both seasoned actors and ridiculously talented. On screen, their chemistry is almost distracting from the series’ plotlines and supporting characters but in all honesty, viewers tune in just to see them bicker and kick some serious butt in the name of bromance. You know you’re a part of a great tv duo when you do the characters better than Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.

The quirky duo provided one another with skills and character sets that the other didn’t have – Laverne, a tough tomboy, made Shirley confident and less sensitive (sometimes). Shirley was able to bring out the more vulnerable side of Laverne when they were alone. One succeeded where the other failed, and vice versa.

Starsky and Hutch were first male characters on television to openly embrace one another and pass brotherly love back and forth. At the time, this was unusual and in engaging in unfamiliar body language, they broke the mold of perceived masculinity in the 70’s. Right on!

While they were once a great duo, today they’re unfortunately separated and have no plans to reunite. So much for peace, love, and unity.

Butch and The Kid traveled together, escaped the law together, and went in a blaze of bullet glory together. The outlaw duo are the complete male version of Bonnie and Clyde, in almost every way. Butch, the obvious leader of the gang, needed his right-hand man through thick and thin. And The Kid was there for him every step of the way.

\nWe’re going to ignore the fact that Miss Piggy and Kermit called it quits and pretend it’s 1999 again, if you don’t mind. The truth is, we just refuse to believe they’ve broken up. Regardless of that tiny detail, they’re still the greatest, comedic, puppet pairing we’ll ever get (sorry, Bert and Ernie). Kermit and Miss Peggy were a longstanding testimony that interspecies love does, in fact, exist where it’s welcome. They were called each other out when necessary, knew how to have a good time, and made your kids smile until they fell asleep for the night. No one can resist a glamorous pig and cute frog that are awesome with children.

Cher and Dionne are the greatest cult movie duo on our list and we have a feeling they’ll touch the lives of high school girls even decades from now.

They also resurrected Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody for the new generation and taught them how to rock out. Oh, excuse us. We mean, taught them how to party on. Mike Myers and Dana Carvey made an unstoppable pair of grunge rockers and tv show hosts. It’s too bad their show never made a pilot, we’d still watch it today.
