If we’re being completely fair, we should also note that Karen’s building was literally a block away from Tesoriero’s office. That means that he was notified about the stairwell lighting not working, and did not follow up on the problem despite the fact the building was within walking distance from where he spent his working day.
And so, despite getting a second email clearly letting him know that the problem was far from fixed and walking in the stairwell at night was dangerous, Tesoriero apparently did nothing to fix it.
