It turns out that the doctors accidentally nicked a nerve during the surgery to remove Debbie’s kidney, causing enormous pain and even queasiness. When Debbie told this to Jackie, Jackie seemingly did not care.
In fact, Debbie says that Jackie told her that the nerve damage she received (as a result of saving her boss’s life) was a “personal issue,” and that Jackie “wasn’t interested.” Jackie then claimed that Debbie was throwing the surgery “up in her face.”
