We always knew that Billy Bob Thornton was capable of doing some strange things, but this one takes the cake. While filming Sling Blade, Billy Bob put crushed glass in his shoes to make his limp more painfully believable.
All of his hard work paid off when he was awarded with an Oscar the following year, beating out Daniel Day-Lewis in the Best Actor category. That’s a major accomplishment in itself.
