As you can probably tell by the name of the show, The Sopranos is all about the Soprano family – and it’s main focus is on Tony Soprano. While those who watched the show will know that James Gandolfini completely redefined this character and brought him to life, but there was a chance that this wasn’t going to happen at all.
That’s because the role was originally going to go to Ray Liotta, but the actor eventually decided to give his movie career a go instead of focusing on television.
