If you watched Dawson’s Creek when you were younger, you’d know that this is the show that really thrust Katie Holmes into the limelight. It gave her the chance to shine, and it allowed everyone to know her name.
What’s so surprising, though, is the fact that the showrunner was almost convinced that Selma Blair was going to be their Joey Potter. However, it was then that Katie sent in her audition tape, and the whole thing changed. From that moment on, Katie was Joey, without a doubt.
