When you think of the original Baywatch show, you probably think of David Hasselhoff. This actor and singer proved to be hugely popular when he ran down the beach in his red swim shorts, but things could have been very different.
That’s because the Hoff wasn’t the first actor to be considered for the role, and producers wanted Tom Selleck and his mustache to be in the lead role. In the end, it was Selleck who decided to pull out because he didn’t want to be ogled every single episode.
