Excited children are a handful. We get it. However, just because they have a lot of energy that needs to be worked off, that doesn’t mean they can carelessly clamber over a prominent statue or public memorial. You wouldn’t want them climbing over your couch in dirty shoes, so why would it be okay for them to climb over a statue?
What’s more, when the statue wants to be looked at by members of the public, like these people do here, they simply can’t because there’s screaming children in the way.
