Although Aeva did have a few friends she could count on, she always felt as though she was different. Because of her height, she just couldn’t live like a normal child or teenager. While her friends were being asked to school dances, she would stand on the sidelines without a date to her name.
The boys in her school were scared and intimidated by her height, and they largely avoided her. This meant that she never had a real boyfriend or even just a boy who had a crush on her. Her confidence was waning every single month.
