Being labeled as a ‘plus-size model’ shattered Aeva’s confidence, because she didn’t consider herself to be plus-size. She was tall, but she was also very thin. No matter how hard she tried to score herself modeling work with an agency, she just didn’t have any luck.
The agency lost confidence in her ability to book jobs, and they began to question whether she really was right for a career in the modeling world. As she could see their confidence in her wane, she began to lose confidence in herself. Maybe she just wasn’t cut out for being a model?
