There was nothing more Jodie could do than to repeat her story over and over again. However, the police were confident it was a misdemeanor case that needed to be thoroughly checked out before they could send Jodie on her way.
The police believed they had collected enough evidence and were willing to let Jodie walk free if she could pay the $200 bail. Sadly, that wouldn’t be the end of the case. Jodie would have to return to court.
