The case was about to drag on longer than anyone thought possible as Jodie didn’t find herself heading to court until five months after she was officially arrested. As if getting accused of stealing wasn’t enough already, it turned out the court had even more news for Jodie as soon as she arrived.
There were two charges being brought against her. One was for the stealing, while the other was accusing Jodie of taking the phone to use as her own. If she was found guilty, Jodie could be sent to jail for 93 days.
