It’s no secret that combat changes people. Those in the military see things that most of us can’t even comprehend, and then they have to come back and live a normal life as though nothing has changed.
This can be incredibly hard for these military personnel, and it can often change who they are as a person. They may have a new lease of life, or they might shy into themselves. It’s down to the military wives and girlfriends to understand that this is nothing personal, and that the love they have for each other is still there.
